Table 2 Committee Gives $2,000 Boost to NSB High School Weightlifting Teams

The Table 2 Committee is proud to announce a $2,000 donation to the New Smyrna Beach High School girls and boys weightlifting teams, helping fuel their success for the upcoming season.

Board member Charles Sigler personally delivered the check on campus, where he was greeted by both teams, their coaches, and school administrators. The funds will be used for much-needed equipment upgrades, travel expenses, and other essentials that keep these hardworking athletes lifting strong.

“The Table 2 Committee is honored to support these dedicated student-athletes,” said Sigler. “Sports teach confidence, discipline, and leadership—and we’re proud to invest in the future of our local youth.”

The day was captured in a series of photos, including team group shots and a handshake moment between Charles Sigler and NSB High School Principal Timothy Merrick, underscoring the strong partnership between the school and the community.

This gift is just the beginning. To raise even more for local youth sports, the Table 2 Committee is hosting a Live Auction Fundraiser on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Traders Sports Pub in New Smyrna Beach.

The event will feature:

• Hosted by DJ Brian

• A lineup of exciting auction items

• A 50/50 raffle

• Great food and drinks

• Plenty of community spirit

Proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting youth sports in Southeast Volusia.
